Sean F. Leslie, Esq
Sean F. Leslie is Of Counsel with the Law Office of Angelo J. Reyes, APC and brings more than three decades of criminal defense experience to the firm. A former law enforcement officer and seasoned trial attorney, Mr. Leslie has represented clients in matters ranging from DUI and misdemeanor offenses to the most serious felony prosecutions, including homicide, manslaughter, and capital cases.
Throughout his career, Mr. Leslie has successfully represented clients through jury trials, evidentiary hearings, motion practice, and negotiated resolutions. He has secured dismissals of criminal charges, successfully challenged unlawful searches and seizures, and persuaded prosecutors not to file charges in numerous cases. In addition to his courtroom work, he has served as a Judge Pro Tempore for the San Diego Superior Court and has held leadership positions within several criminal defense and legal organizations throughout San Diego County.

Anthony Vargas is the Of Counsel Trial Attorney at the Law Office of Angelo J. Reyes, APC, where he strengthens the firm’s litigation and trial practice. His role underscores the firm’s commitment to providing clients with a trial team of experienced litigators dedicated to achieving the highest level of advocacy in contested proceedings.
Anthony began his career with the San Diego Public Defender’s Office, where for more than five years he tried numerous misdemeanor and felony cases and built a reputation as a relentless courtroom advocate.
He has been recognized nationally for his trial skills, including receiving the American College of Trial Lawyers Medal for Excellence in Advocacy multiple times—a distinction awarded to top trial advocates across the country. In addition to his practice, he teaches trial skills to law students at California Western School of Law and to practicing attorneys through the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA). He takes pride in telling his clients’ stories with power and clarity, ensuring their rights are protected and their voice is heard.
